ABOUT

Concept:
Create an entertaining social media clip with Yasser for BBC Asian Networks Social Pages.

Execution:
I was given a DJI Osmo, a microphone and full creative freedom of this project. As we were going to Reading festival I decided to play on the name of the location to create a “Reading” challenge where the contestant would wear “Trippy” glasses and attempt to read from a book.
After communicating with representatives of the festival and securing guest entry for the team (Presenter, Myself and an Assistant) as well as arranging travel and accommodation, we travelled to the festival site and proceeded with the shoot.
After shooting an intro and outro for the video, I approached random people at the festival site and encouraged them to take part in the challenge to which many people were very eager to get involved.
After a successful shoot I then edited the video in post production. I created a story with an introduction, start of challenge, climax and decided to change the ending to a funny outtake from the end of one of the interviews.
I also included the BBC Asian Network branding as well as subtitles, to which I also added in effects to give the video more character.

Result:
The edit was highly commended by BBC Asian Networks Executive Producer and received a great response from listeners and fans.
