Concept:
I was instructed to create a freestyle video for KanDman and DJ Limelights Hype On The Mic series on BBC Asian Networks Youtube channel. Previously the videos were made very simple with 2 shots and minimal editing.

Execution:
After conducting research on competitor channels and videos I decided it would look best with 3 different angles including a hand held shot in order to give the video a "in the room" feel. For this I used 2 studio cameras which are built in to the BBC Radio Studios as well as my own Canon 50d with a shoulder rig and ensured the studio and background was visible and clean.
I also edited the video in post production making each shot change move to the beat and decided to colour/grade the video as well as include a black and white effect to some of the shots to improve the visual appeal.

Result:
The end result is a drastic improvement on the Hype On The Mic series and has been highly commended by producers, executives and presenters at the weekly team meeting. This Hype On The Mic also gained support from reposts of the social media promo clips by channels such as GRM Daily.
