ABOUT
We partnered with third sector organisation Spring ACT - the creators of Comeback Catz to help them design a bold, empowering mobile experience with a playful twist. The mission? Tackle everyday sexism with wit, confidence, and a community of users ready to fight back — one clever comeback at a time.
Comeback Catz is a quirky, empowering app that equips users with smart, snappy responses to sexist remarks, while also giving them tools to celebrate their own progress and achievements. It’s part digital confidence coach, part safe space, and all sass.
Our UX Approach:
We focused on designing an intuitive, uplifting and visually fun experience. The flow needed to be quick and accessible — whether users were seeking instant comebacks, logging personal wins, or changing their profiles.
Key UX features we delivered:
Onboarding & Profiles: A streamlined registration process with multiple sign-in options and a customisable user profile that feels both secure and celebratory.
Comeback Library: A swipeable interface packed with punchy, shareable comebacks delivered by a sunglasses-wearing cat mascot — balancing humour with impact.
Hall of Achievements: A confidence-boosting space where users log milestones, upload photos, and reflect on personal growth. Think digital trophy shelf with heart.
User Empowerment Tools: Options to schedule reminders, edit or delete entries, and share achievements — giving users full control of their narrative.
Our work combined playful visuals, gentle gradients and powerful UX copy to create an app that doesn’t just call out sexism — it helps users rise above it.
