ABOUT

Once a pop culture icon of the West Coast, Sizzler had faded from public consciousness. The goal: reignite the brand’s nostalgic magic and reintroduce it to a new generation through a bold, contemporary identity rooted in its rich heritage.

We reimagined the brand from the inside out—starting with a visual identity that honored its legacy while looking unmistakably modern.
- The logo was refreshed, not replaced—slanted and stamped like a cattle brand.
- A deep maroon replaced the dated gradient, reaffirming steakhouse cues.
- Archival typefaces were revived and paired with bold, modern typography.
- A forgotten 1950s mascot was reborn as Ribby Ribeye, joined by new cartoon characters like Toasty and the Salad Bar-barian—injecting playful charm across all touchpoints.
Beyond visuals, we rebuilt Sizzler’s voice, sonic branding, and even rethought how servers greet guests. Every brand experience was redesigned—from menus to uniforms—creating a fully integrated relaunch.

The rebrand sparked immediate business impact:
- Fresno location sales rose 22.2% post-remodel.
- Visalia sales jumped 43.8%, with guest counts following suit.
By fusing heritage with modernity, we helped Sizzler reclaim its place as the West Coast’s beloved family steakhouse—one sizzling detail at a time.
