ABOUT

This project covers the development proccess of an artifact to be used by the Firefighter Corporation in situations with toxic gases or low visibility, where robots, in a way to reduce life risks and margins for human mistakes, can replace the human presence. This project have begun in a scientific program, that sought to propose projects of robots aimed at rescue situations, with this idea in mind, it was proposed a robot in a car shape in order to solve the problematic indicated.

The project started as a scholarship programme from the University of Brasilia Department of Mechanical Engineering, in Brasília, Brazil. The group, called EREKO, consists of students from a wide range of areas, such as mechanical, electrical and software engineering, as well as computer science and product design students to provide support for the team.
