In 2006 Idee Migranti Onlus started the "Guri I Zi" project in the north of Albania with the aim of offering a job and income opportunity to vulnerable women through the enhancement of local textile craftsmanship.
During these years, the project "Guri I Zi" has given life to a textile production workshop in the homonymous village in Albania and to a sales point in Italy. The sale of textile products guarantees full sustainability and the progressive expansion of the project, which has now become a real social enterprise.
Thanks to this virtuous circle, an important result was achieved: started with 4 women, today the textile and tailoring workshop of Guri I Zi offers work and income to 53 Albanian women, who can thus improve their living conditions and their families .
