About me
My official title is copywriter. But more than that I see my role in agencies as an ideas generator. I firmly believe that great creative work is only as good as the idea upon which it is based.
That's why I spend so much of my time isolating concepts, identifying unique insights and interrogating ideas, all the while considering clients' needs above all else. I am 100% committed to developing original ideas that are anchored by logical foundations, and presenting them as compellingly and concisely as possible.
I think this great Latin saying sums up my philosophy best:
"Rem tene verba sequentur" - grasp the subject and the words will follow.
I am a South African copywriter with an EU passport. I have around 6,5 years of experience and am currently living and working in London.
Over this time I've worked at Johannesburg-based experiential behemoth VWV, multi award-winning ATL agency TBWA Hunt/Lascaris, and most recently London-based integrated agency OgilvyAction. I've also done a fair amount of freelance in London along the way. This has acquired me a wealth of experience and skill over a wide spectrum of media. Above the line, below the line, through the line; I've walked them all.
