ABOUT
This film was made under the umbrella of ‘Life on Earth,’ which focused on Global Environmental Conflicts. Before narrowing down on a concept, we explored various projects within the umbrella. Among
Secure Himalayas, Vikalp Sangam, and Biodiversity, we researched many fields and possibilities. Within Biodiversity, we were intrigued by the Human- Nature conflict. As it is a broad topic, we narrowed down our
research spectrum, focusing on the overexploitation of natural resources to build urban paradises for humanity to live in. Every passing day we push the ecosystem away from our settlements surrounding ourselves with
a concrete wall.
There is a need to reflect upon our actions as individuals who work together to safeguard our future.
We Imagined a future where humanity has depleted its resources and is stuck within the dead walls. What hope is left? What life is gone? Slowly as our cities start to crumble, humanity begins to fade away, being unable to sustain itself. Nearing the end when all
hope seems lost, only in the darkest night can one see a spark of light brought by Mother Nature, as nature heals and forgives its children, giving them a second chance. As we all originate from nature, we consider her to be our mother. This was an essential characteristic we wanted to explore through our film, as both the wrath and the forgiving aspect of mother nature.
