A coherent landscape and public realm approach
has been developed for Saraya Aqaba that draws
on traditional and contextual themes, to create
a coordinated and memorable sense of place. The
public realm will be well connected to form a
complete coherent network of streets, plazas,
squares and courtyards. Each of the main uses
are defined in zones including hotel, mixed use
and retail, and neighbourhood has a space to act
as a focus, linked by a clear pedestrian network
and including additional key features such as
water features, cafe areas, plazas and family
play areas.
