ABOUT
Concept: Richland Library in Columbia, South Carolina, recognized the power of their "Let's Talk Race" conversations and sought to amplify their reach. They partnered with Goodsides to elevate their video production and share this crucial message with a wider audience through impactful storytelling. This effort not only aimed to educate but also to facilitate hard discussions as a form of societal healing and address deep-seated inequities.
Execution: We at Goodsides brought our expertise in visual storytelling to the project, guiding everything from location choices to scripting to ensure engaging and impactful content. We even produced a "Thank You" video to acknowledge sponsors and build community support. Our storytelling captured the heart of the conversations, fostering an environment for open dialogue and deeper understanding.
Results: The final videos took center stage on Richland Library's revamped "Let's Talk Race" website, making these vital conversations accessible to a much broader audience. These videos continue to serve as a valuable educational tool, driving ongoing engagement and raising awareness around racial inequity. The library's investment in professional video storytelling, through our partnership, not only amplified their message but also solidified their role as a leader in fostering dialogue and understanding in the community. Through this initiative, we at Goodsides have demonstrated how media can be a powerful force for social good, facilitating difficult conversations and contributing to the healing and transformation of society.
