ABOUT
As the Arctic sea ice retreats, destructive industrial fishing fleets are moving further north than ever before to exploit previously untouched waters, putting a pristine ecosystem at risk. This threatens amazing Arctic creatures, from blue whales to polar bears, from corals to tiny creatures like the mystical sea butterfly, says Greenpeace.
Our aim was to create an outstanding visual symbol that would express real dangers of ice melting and water pollution. It may result that one day even fishes will have to hide from polluted oceans in a bottle of distilled water. Thus, the fish itself turns into a SOS message from nature to people.
The slogan - "The lost message we must fish out" - puts an accent on this multilayered symbolical approach.
In May 2016 Greenpeace Russia chose this poster among the others that would be used during its outdoor actions and events.
