Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing with regard to the position of Design Director as advertised on reed.

I am a Design Director with 20 years experience, originating from a traditional print and agency background and have since developed my skills into the world of digital.

I have a strong portfolio and my projects range from being creative lead on the first John Lewis and Waitrose websites to more recently launching the Marie Curie e-commerce online shop (). I have worked closely with Byron Burger for the design and development of their intranet, designed ITN's Educational video website () and set out the creative for the monthly Which

I currently lead and motivate a creative team of designers working across both print and digital formats. I also have a firm understanding of commercial awareness including budgets and time scales.

I have a strong passion for design and I love what I do. I consider myself to be a 'people's person', I am supportive and client facing with a work hard attitude. I have the confidence and experience along with the necessary skills to lead and motivate my colleagues and clients.
