The brief I set myself for this project was to create a range of 50 greeting cards which play on common sayings in a literal sense. I wanted the cards to have a loose modern feel to them and be playful and uplifting. I did this by choosing a range of sayings and thumb nailing ideas for each saying. I am sticking to a limited colour palette and researching into which colours are currently on trend in the illustration community (as you can see this is a continuous brief I am currently working on). My target audience for this project is ages 13 - 40. So far the result of the cards have been punchy and straight to the point I believe this is down to the limited colour pallet which grabs the audiences attention and creating multiple thumbnails to create the best composition and clearest message for each card.
