Blood donation is a mostly safe and fast process, which is often avoided due to fear, lack of knowledge or laziness. How, then, to sensitize the population to the importance of donating, at a time when the banks are not failing?

When we donate blood, we can be saving the lives of up to 4 other people. Or in this case, 4 other Cape Verdeans. With every donation we are helping to save someone who shares our blood, both figuratively and literally. And by using the flag as a symbol, we are appealing to national pride and the unity of a people around a cause.

This is what runs in our blood. This is what really unites this country and what is represented in the stitching of our flag. This was the motto of the campaign that Tecnicil Indústria launched, in partnership with the Blood Bank of Hospital Agostinho Neto, using posters and information leaflets.
