The brief was to redesign and give a more luxurious and clear feeling to the booking engine on the website. The website itself was partially redesigned during last Spring, to adapt it to an update in the brand guidelines.
The booking engine, instead, needed a complete restyle. I tried to give to the user an user experience as smooth as possible, adding more steps in the process, compared with the past booking engine.
So far the user interface was confusing, without clear feedback on every action of the user, who was forced to find himself a way to go ahead into the booking process. Now the approach is more clear: every step has its proper function, and the user can move forward with a single action per step.
Moreover, so far all the possible combination of rates was presented directly into the search page: that returned a very long page, which was deleterious for the user experience. Now only the best rate is shown into the search list. Then, when you go through your choice, you can see clearly the policies of each rate.
The entire process, from the concept to the launch, involved to liaise with the Web Developer, the Digital Marketing Manager, the CEO and the Sales Manager and took 25 days to be completed.
