Skim is an app concept for a no frills news reader.
Skim focuses on removing unnecessary distractions, and gives a boiled down, narrative driven news experience.
With Skim, the name of the game is speed, making finding, reading, and sharing your news that much easier.
Navigating news is a simple case of quickly scrolling down through headlines, tapping and skimming an excerpt, and either reading the full thing, saving for later, or hiding an article to make later browsing quicker.
Alternatively, Skim displays full page feature images, headlines and excerpts that you can quickly browse and choose to read or hide. Otherwise, the reading experience is devoid of most images, and gets straight to the point.
