ABOUT

Concept:

This project involved designing an organisational culture report for Natuurmonumenten, developed in collaboration with HIJSA.
The brief: Translate a dense, text-heavy internal document into a clear, structured communication piece suitable for both internal and stakeholder-facing use. The key challenge was to improve readability and navigation while maintaining the formal tone required for a public-sector organisation.
The goal: Clarity of communication across different levels of information depth, aesthetic refinement.

Execution:

A modular editorial system with a strong emphasis on hierarchy, spacing, and typographic discipline.
Key design decisions:
1. Restructuring long-form content into clearly defined information blocks
2. Establishing a consistent typographic hierarchy for rapid scanning
3. Creating a grid system to support multi-layered reading paths
4. Introducing visual markers to guide navigation through dense sections
5. Ensuring the layout works across both print and digital formats
Visual language: Restrained and institutional. Priority given to clarity over expression in line with the client’s public-sector context.

Results:

The final report improves accessibility and readability of complex organisational information, supporting clear internal communication and stakeholder understanding. The system provides a reusable framework for future reporting formats within the organisation.
