ABOUT

The Hult Prize challenges students to solve the world’s toughest challenges; in 2013, the theme was food insecurity. Four postgraduate students from SciencesPo, Paris, had an idea: a canteen serving affordable and healthy meals to schoolchildren in a deprived area of Delhi. I was approached to develop the idea visually and conceptually into a fully-formed proposal.

This was my first branding project, and while I relished being responsible for all things visual—from designing the logo, business plan and food packaging which featured vegetable-themed characters, as well as writing brand guidelines—we had less than a month to complete the proposal.

While our proposal didn’t make the finals, it was a runner-up entry in the regionals; special mention went to the effectiveness of the visual design.
