One year on from the earthquake in Nepal, the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) commissioned HomeMade to produce an interactive editorial piece to tell the story of the aid response to the catastrophe.

During the project’s discovery phase, I was in charge of researching similar interactive editorial pieces, such as Firestorm by the Guardian; this included determining the look of the typography in the final piece.

Then, using statistics provided by the DEC, working with our project manager and lead designer, I designed and animated infographics embedded within the narrative, putting key figures into context.

I also designed shareable assets of the infographics for social media.
