In my photographic project, "Subterranean Symmetry" I delve into the captivating world of the London Underground, seeking to capture its enigmatic essence through the timeless medium of black and white photography. The Underground, with its labyrinthine tunnels and transient passengers, is a microcosm of the city's soul.
Through the deliberate choice of black and white, I aim to strip away the distractions of colour, focusing instead on the interplay of light, shadows, and architectural forms. This reduction to monochrome emphasises the raw beauty of the Underground's hidden landscapes, unveiling the intricate patterns, textures, and symmetries that often go unnoticed amidst the daily commute. Through this series, I invite viewers to immerse themselves in the visual poetry of the London Underground, to witness its silent rhythms, and to uncover its hidden stories.
