ABOUT

Since discovering this concept, I have been drawn to its peculiar allure. I find that liminal spaces in photography blur the boundaries between reality and dreams, creating a visual symphony that echoes with nostalgia, beckoning us into the corridors of our subconscious.

As a fervent dreamer since childhood, the strange landscapes in my mind have been both comforting and unsettling. Within the shady contours of my dreams, I found a recurring motif, in a realm that felt both familiar and foreign, empty, and eerie.

Last year, I embarked on a photographic exploration of the liminal spaces within my subconscious. These images aim to recreate the emotions of unsettling dreams from my past. I take great care over the composition, as I try to evoke the essence of my anxiety, borne of the stillness of the unknown, and the emptiness that permeates these peculiar landscapes. For me, the interplay of light and shadow mimics the ephemerality of my dreams, creating an eerie atmosphere that transcends conventional reality to capture that feeling of being suspended in a moment that defies explanation, where the line between what was, what is, and what could be, becomes beautifully blurred.
