Award winning comedian Elf Lyons approached me to design the poster for her newest show 'Love Songs to Guinea Pigs'. Still a work in progress when the design was commissioned, I had to depict the comic pathos of the show, and hint at its themes of love, longing, medical trauma and ... guinea pigs, while still leaving room for the show to grow and evolve.

The client fell in love with the work, and we struck up a collaborative and inspiring creative relationship. The striking but simple design made the show stand out against more conventional photographic comedy promos, helping fuel the show's success through numerous runs and festivals, with a residency at the Soho Theatre in summer and a UK tour to follow.
