I was approached by Norwegian charity Dissimilis to design the poster for a music festival they were to hold in Oslo.

What makes this festival different? All the performers have learning difficulties. I was briefed to come up with an illustration that celebrated neurodiversity, and which festival goers would be proud to wear at the festival and beyond.

I responded by eschewing all cliches of what a learning difficulties charity or event should look like, focusing instead on the message and sprit of the festival to create this eye-catching, intriguing and celebratory design.

The client was thrilled with the boundary-pushing but inclusive illustration, which helped to elevate the festival. T-shirts featuring the design sold out completely.
