Alibi channel wanted to show its support and allyship during Pride month. Instead of trying to find LGBTQ+ characters within our content and shoehorn them into a spot that would promote our content more than authentically giving voice to the LGBTQ+ community, we proposed something different.

We approached Val McDermid, author and creator of Alibi's commission Traces, to speak to us about the importance of representation on screen and in stories.

In the height of the pandemic tiers and lockdown, the original shooting location and crew had to be cancelled, and we cobbled together a shoot in an entirely different studio, with a crew of three, all within a day.
