ABOUT

The Youth & Innovation project run by the University of Waterloo approached me to create a series of illustrations for their infographics. Loosely following their colour guidelines a series of minimal, hand drawn whimsical characters were created to help illustrate their research.

Execution: The project began with pencil and paper, taking key words from the infographic text and using that to create conceptual situations where my characters could interact. Once a selection was chosen they were worked up in digital format on the iPad, finally they were exported into InDesign where I began working on the best layout to help the reader digest the information.
