This is an experiment.

Using only three sizes of the LEGO brick - Full, half, and quarter, I have created cities. Or at least, the basic forms of cities. These cities are built brick by brick, and confined to a LEGO base. Using architectural software to construct, they are then digitally rendered in Vray to become what you see here.

Each city is rendered in day and night, with the night containing illuminated bricks in various positions creating conceptual apartments and offices. The first city is repeated onto each page (as the same size) and then enveloped by a larger city around it. This is to show the sense of scale. (There is always a bigger city.)

The purpose is to try and strip the city down to a form, and watch the form change throughout the day. This is an experiment of solids and voids, darkness and light.
