Rose moved to Ireland for love. She met her husband, a native of Dun Laoighre, while they were both teaching in Nagasaki, Japan. She takes us to Dun Laoighre, where she and her husband often found themselves on visits over their many years dating long distance, indulging their shared love of Indian food and the beautiful harbour and market.

Well Spun Tales is a series of short films. Each one is a portrait of a cyclist in Dublin, representing the diversity of people cycling for pleasure or work in our city. The series was inspired by Australian research showing that around half of drivers perceive cyclists as less than human. As well as the growing toll of cycling casualties on Irish roads. Cycling is healthy, environmentally friendly and fun. It is one of the best ways to explore our city: To fall in love with the lost nooks and crannies of greater Dublin. But too many people are understandably afraid to cycle on Irish roads. And the media’s go to image of cyclist is still a lycra clad, helmet clad, hyper fit, middle aged man. We set out to speak to real Irish cyclists. Ordinary people, interviewed in their favorite places in Dublin. We want to show that cyclists are real people, from every walk of life - that cycling is something that can and should be enjoyed by all kinds of people, of all ages and backgrounds.
