ABOUT
OCBCCares is diving deeper in its fight against climate change with a seagrass restoration project that can store carbon up to 40 times more efficiently than forests. But that's not all—seagrass meadows are also underwater havens, offering shelter to countless marine creatures like crabs and shrimp, helping to preserve our ocean's biodiversity.
To make this important initiative resonate, we brought our message to life—literally—underwater. We partnered with Singapore’s beloved mermaid, Syrena, to share the announcement while swimming in a deep-diving pool, adding a magical and memorable touch to a serious cause.
What seemed like a simple concept took a full day to perfect. We needed the timing and performance to flow seamlessly, keeping the message clear and ensuring that the video had minimal cuts. This way, our audience could fully absorb the significance of seagrass restoration.
In post-production, we enhanced the underwater world with the gentle presence of a dugong and colourful fish alongside the true star of the campaign: the seagrass.
The effort paid off. The positive feedback from viewers shows that we've succeeded not only in making the science of seagrass conservation more accessible but also in creating a captivating visual experience.
