ABOUT

As the UK’s leading social mobility charity, Speakers for Schools join forces with employers to provide state-educated 14-19-year-olds with the life-changing work experience opportunities they deserve.

But 66% of young people still leave school with no work experience*.

And without a vast number of employers there won’t be enough placements to change this statistic.

So, how do we recruit more organisations to join us in our mission?

By demonstrating that providing work experience is a brilliant business decision they can’t afford to pass up.

WORK EXPERIENCE WORKS

A bold, unmissable, dynamic and reactive grant-supported LinkedIn Campaign – with a plethora of content designed to target, test and refine our approach by serving adverts to employers that are proven work.

Our campaign communicates all the reasons Work Experience Works; using a mix of high-impact messages such as “turn on the talent tap” and “mind the skills gap”, shocking thought-provoking stats, case study videos and engaging animations which mimic the user interface and connection-centric nature of LinkedIn.

Throughout the ads, employers are compelled to fill in a short form to get the guide to hosting work experience.

With the campaign still live, we’re seeing thousands of clicks and hundreds of form fills, ready to start our conversations with those businesses who are set to benefit from and changes lives through work experience.

At the time of writing our campaign has driven 13,099 website visits. Resulting in the eventual acquisition of 128 new registered employers. Through these employers we can support thousands of young people to get work experience.
