ABOUT
Ferrari is taking their racing DNA to the high seas, where design, innovation, and performance meet. Working directly with Ferrari, FutureDeluxe crafted the official livery launch film for the Ferrari Hypersail, timed to coincide with Milan Design Week 2026. A vessel that fuses advanced foil technology, integrated solar energy, and decades of motorsport engineering philosophy. Our task was to communicate all of this with precision and cinematic weight, before the boat had even been built.
Rather than beginning with a fixed narrative, we built the film through a structured R&D phase, developing and testing visual ideas to find the most precise and authentic way to represent the technology, then refining these throughout production.
Scale became a critical storytelling device. Pairing Hypersail with the Ferrari WEC car, drawing a direct lineage between track and water, grounding the vessel in Ferrari’s performance DNA while emphasising its sheer size. Speed, meanwhile, was expressed through editorial structure: rapid high-frequency cut sequences contrasted with expansive, controlled shots, creating a rhythm that reflects both precision engineering and raw performance.
"We approached Hypersail as an innovation project first, using R&D at the core. We had to invent the visual language for a vessel that didn't exist, testing how light and motion could express a new kind of performance. The speed, the fluidity, the sound — everything had to feel like it was designed, not assembled." - Raj Davsi, ECD, FutureDeluxe
