About me
I currently study at Nottingham Trent University, on the Decorative Art course, in Nottingham, England. I am originally from Japan, although I grew up in China, and now live in England. I am looking for experience within the creative industries, either through an internship or an entry level role.
I love working with my hands and making a range of things from small jewelry products to sculpture. The materials that I use vary a lot: wood, glass, metal, ceramic, paper etc. I am strongly interested in creative industry roles where I can combine making with designing. I am strong independent worker, opened minded and hard worker.
As I grew up in a very multicultural environment since I was little, my inspiration has always come from people, places and experiences. I love meeting new people, getting out of my comfort zone and sharing cultures. Traveling is a huge source of inspiration to me.
I take my sketchbook and camera with me wherever I go. Visual images are a great way to keep a record of what I have gone through and my sketchbook is full of illustrations and drawings, with lots of random people!
