ABOUT

This is an art project that I did as part of an artist residency programme in Sweden. I was asked to create something that was somehow inspired by the Glasets Hus (see my other video) where they blow glass and have other facilities. I found the transformative process of the glass-blowing interesting where they melt down the sand and pot ash to form molten glass, which they then manipulate to create a finished product. I saw a link to the alchemical transformation process of an individual's inner world and decided to explore alchemy for my art project. This video combines many different elements from frame by frame animation and motion graphics to live action video. The content is mostly symbolic and therefore it is non-narrative (apart from the introduction to the video).
