Consensus wanted a visually creative piece for this song about Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (D.U.N.E). I quickly sketche dout the process of taking performance footage to camera and layering it over various abstract animation backgrounds with sequences more directly referencing the particle physics being explored at the facility.

Using simple luma keys I extracted the artist from the filmed environment and began experimenting with various effects layers to further remove him from filmed and push him closer to animated. The base for this was Pixel Encoder for After Effects by Megakrunch and then some further keying and posterize time to complete the artist performance layer in the video.

The backgrounds were created using a technique I've been developing for a whileusing simple turbulent noise layers blended against each other to create ever mutating chaotic background layers. Further animations such as the positrons or the 3D framework cube were also created within After Effects using simple shape layers and geometry.
