write to apply for the position of an internship or Junior Designer. I am a recent graduate of Loughborough University, with a BA 1st Class Honours, Visual Communication Degree. The role of Junior Designer is one that I have been working towards for the duration of my degree. Visualising concepts to inspire an audience has long been my drive and passion and the opportunity to work within a team that specialises in this field would not only be inspirational but rewarding too.

Visual communication is my vocation. Everyday I am thrilled that I chose to work in this field. I find knowledge and information fascinating; it inspires my work and feeds my imagination. It is my objective to turn the banal into something innovative, the dull into something dazzling and the complicated into something communicative. I do this in a variety of formats, from film to animation or from paper craft to photography. By using my creativity, I aim to enlighten people about different aspects of the world that may have otherwise been overlooked for a subjects lacklustre representation. The possibilities of what a new project proposes, fills me with a sense of creative exploration and motivation to find the solution. I do not fear a challenge and I would relish the opportunity to work within a creative environment.

I believe that my own personal ethos and my creativity would be an asset and contribute greatly to the vision of your company. I have gained invaluable experience as a freelance designer for a number of companies. An exciting project I worked on was an animation for Paper&Cloth, which was screened in New York at the Surtex surface pattern design exhibition. During my time at Wildfire Studios I gained proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and experience using other Adobe Creative Suite programmes such as Illustrator, InDesign, After effects, Premiere, Dragon Stop Motion and Final Cut Pro. Although I am not fluent in Flash I have had some experience using the programme and gained a basic knowledge. Moreover I am enthusiastic to learn new software skills that the role may require. I thrive in a busy environment and I have the sense of humour to not be daunted by the trials and tribulations of the design world. Attention to detail is my strongest attribute and I look to contribute to the success of any project by working collaboratively or independently.
