A high-impact CGI spec piece exploring speed, transformation, and visual flow around an iconic Mercedes performance car. Working without a brief gave us total creative freedom to push form, motion, and abstraction as far as we wanted.

The animation centres on high-speed formation sequences, where the car assembles itself on the move from thousands of tiny components. As it accelerates, a bold, abstract tunnel builds around it in direct response to the car's motion, before fracturing apart as it punches through.
The visual approach pairs realistic lighting and materials on the car with expressive, abstract elements in the environment. Rich colour, particles, and procedural animation run throughout, with moments of slow motion introduced to create contrast and rhythm.

The piece captures how Frantic approaches automotive CGI when given full creative latitude, from concept and look development through to motion design and final render.
