I set out to play on people perceptions on safety and risk where it was designed to have a one-shot design, so would break on impact. Looked at changing the view on how we use safety items as it is theorised that some people in adventure sports take more risks when wearing safety equipment that could result in potential for serous injury. This design was an unseen mountain biking shoulder guard as in New Zealand shoulder injuries in mountain injuries is one of the highest claimed injuries. In the final product it was aimed to be 3D printed out of bio-based filaments.
