ABOUT

Continuing my short series of mythological places, this one originates from the Celtic tribes of ancient Ireland, and is called Tír na nÓg, which roughly translates to "Land of the Young". According to legend, it's an island paradise and supernatural realm of everlasting youth, beauty, health, abundance, and joy, inhabited by the pantheon of pre-Christian gods. There is a large tree in the center of the island surrounded by singing birds with a silver branch with golden apples. I really tried to capture the ancient Celtic style with various symbols, knots, and braiding. Hope you like it!

Oh, and the Irish phrase at the bottom ("ach iad siúd ar fiú iad") roughly translates to "only those who are worthy".
