We were commissioned by Stroud Town Council to create a new map and leaflet for Stroud’s ‘WAS Way’ – a 10-mile, circular ‘Walk Around Stroud’. At a scale of 1:13,500 the map shows all road names, all other public rights of way, some useful landmarks and nearby facilities. Ten-metre contour lines and subtle hill-shading gives the user an indication of the hilly nature of the walk, and picks out Stroud’s famous Five Valleys. FourPoint Mapping also designed the leaflet, walked the route, sub-edited the text, and provided all the photography. A useful route profile indicates where hills, landmarks and crossings can be expected on the walk. The map is printed on 100% recycled 120gsm stock, A3-sized (420 x 297mm) and folds conveniently to DL size (99 x 210mm).
