In 2009 we were commissioned by Essex County Council to cycle-survey several towns and cities within the county, and to then create cycle maps using the data our surveyors had captured. Advisory cycling networks were developed and all useful cycling infrastructure recorded. The subsequent series of maps were created in various sizes, but all at the same scale, and all folded to DL-size (210 x 99mm). In 2015 the series was updated and refreshed: the categorisation of cycle-routes was changed as was the palette, and the maps were significantly simplified. The format was also changed so that they now fold to A6 (148 x 105mm).
