We were commissioned by Sustrans to reformat and collate some of the day rides we had devised for them for their Pocket Map series into two books: Circular Day Rides North and South.
With 75 routes in each book, each route map was to fit neatly onto an A5 page in either landscape or portrait format, allowing room for a spiral binding on the long-edge. Route instructions on the map were abbreviated, but then elaborated upon in the written instructions on the adjacent page. A route profile was also created for every ride giving the cyclist an idea of the hilliness of the route.
The finished books were spiral-bound, and had a wrap-around cover with a throw-out featuring the key.
