At FivebyFive, we have been in charge of the global digital launch of every title for Activision since 2006 - including Call of Duty, which is one of the worldâ€™s biggest entertainment franchise. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the 17th title in the main franchise and, once again, Activision looked to us to deliver the global digital launch.
We produced and delivered a huge array of digital content, including over 4,000 assets across digital display, social and video in 28 markets and 17 languages - all within just three weeks. Assets included placements for IGN, Twitch, Samsung, Eurogamer, IMDb, Amazon and Spotify. This was all managed by our in-house proprietary digital display platform â€“ Oceanview.
With different forms of lockdowns in place around the world during the game launch, we saw really strong digital sales as gamers sought escapism without having to leave the house.
