Final Cut London

ABOUT

The campaign opens with a sense of mystery, focusing on a female lead in a seemingly dull office environment. She opens her phone to Netflix's iconic "dun dun," which sets her and the viewers up for an adventurous ride. Gradually revealing fast-paced, high-energy glimpses of some of Netflix’s most thrilling and dramatic content.

Through quick, impactful cuts, the campaign shifts between genres, seamlessly transitioning from intense action sequences to emotional moments, giving viewers a taste of the diverse worlds within Netflix’s library. The editing is designed to keep the audience on the edge of their seats, constantly shifting between familiar and surprising scenes to heighten suspense and anticipation. The lead shape shifts into characters within the world of their respective shows, not only becoming a character of the world but transforming what occurs around them.

The goal of flipping the conventional structure of a sizzle reel for upcoming releases on its head was a big part of the context behind this work. "You're Not Ready" is more than just a title - its goal and intention develops a reminder for the viewer that the brand is aiming to do more than get one hyped up for new releases, rather its ability to hit global markets turning the moment into a cultural phenomenon of film craft and brand growth.
The hidden easter eggs were an element that encouraged people to engage with the work both individually and collectively. Its achievement spans larger than its creators could imagine, disrupting an entire category. The fusion of genre and action-packed transitions successfully integrated 26 different Netflix shows and movies into the spot. The campaign's innovative approach to editing within the context of a brand campaign breaks traditional advertising norms.
