Hackney English has been running events, workshops and study sessions in and around London E8 since 2004 with the aim of bringing people together to make learning English an easy, fun and social experience.

Figgydoo created a logomark for Hackney English that pares the initials back to its basic elements. When used as a repeat pattern, the interwoven texture symbolically represents the tight-knit HE community. The typeface used is Alte Haas Grotesk (Yann le Coroller).
