Brief:
United Way is the only fund-raising organization in Taiwan that helps the most diverse underprivileged groups. Each contribution supports the needs of over 16 underprivileged groups. However, many Taiwanese tend to donate to one specific underprivileged group. Therefore, we collected wishes from various underprivileged groups and creatively assembled them into a collective "The Wish Banknote," which was designed to resemble a genuine thousand-dollar New Taiwan Dollar banknote. By displaying the wish banknote in Taipei's most frequented shopping area, we captured the attention of passersby right away. It inspiring many people to donate to United Way, and realized that a simple banknote now can be an opportunity to fulfilling the dreams of countless underprivileged individuals.

Execution:
We Collected the 3000 post-it notes, each of which has the underprivileged wishes, we projected them in accordance with the design of an actual One Thousand NT Dollars banknote. Then created a gigantic poster of “1,000 NT Dollars Wish Banknote,” measuring 240cm in width and 210cm in height. Displayed in a department store, it drew attention to the diverse New Year wishes of underprivileged individuals. This inspired donations to United Way, as people realized their red envelopes with cashes could fulfill many underprivileged wishes.

Result:
The Wish Banknote attracted 25+ media companies covering the story, and soon became a hot topic on social media. It inspired people to make donations to United Way, resulting in a remarkable 416% increase in the donation rate compared to the previous year. United Way of Taiwan use the fund to assist 150,770 individuals with disabilities, 254,362 elderly living alone, 359,667 underprivileged children, 93,159 indigenous people in remote areas, 161,140 rare disease patients, 353,850 underprivileged women, homeless individuals, and drug addicts. The Wish Banknote successfully helped many underprivileged individuals fulfill their wishes.
