Due to insufficient surgery spaces and old equipment at Chia-Yi Christian Hospital, many patients who need urgent surgeries can’t receive the treatments instantly but can only struggle and wait in sickbeds. Chia-Yi Christian Hospital held a fund-raising event to build a new “Smart Surgery Building” to solve this urgent issue.

We transformed the restless moments of waiting in the traffic jam into the anxious and helpless moments of waiting for surgery, so that people can feel the urgency when assistance is needed. A powerful tension is thus injected into this image and leaves an impact on people through something they can immediately relate to their experiences. Their empathy would also prompt them to make donations to help solve this type of near- death emergency.
