Finding Pattern was a project very heavily influenced by mark making. I decided upon mixing two very different starting points with where I found my pattern.

I balanced out man made versus natural. I started out by taking photographs of flora, and manipulating them digitally. I didn't want the flora to be the main focus, because it is stereotypical in wallpaper design.
I honed in on the man made juxtaposition and photographed around my hometown and university.
Again, I manipulated these digitally and took the marks that were created via this technique and created my collection from there.

My thoughts behind my FMP were very clear when making it a repeat collection. My style of work suits non-repeat best, and I have focused on making it a mix and match collection. I wanted the collection to be more of an art piece than wallpaper you would find in B&Q.
