ABOUT

Originally sketched in pencil before being drawn digitally with Illustrator. This is a set of images to represent the modern woman, both in terms of body representation as well as her daily life.

The first image is a take on the burlesque champagne glass imagery, with the woman falling asleep in the bath while trying to read her book. The second is a take on the burlesque chair imagery, the woman is tired (physically and tired of being objectified) and stressed. Her hair is a mess and she just wants a moment of peace. The final image is a take on the burlesque fashion. The pile of laundry is representing what should be a glamorous ball gown, tied to her waist (tying her down?). Her hair is in a messy bun and she is trying to balance life - the cup of coffee is about to spill everywhere...
