The brief of this project was to design an independent newspaper, including a cover, middle pages, a long read and infographics. I created Satellite; a global newspaper with a focus on gender equality. I attempted to create a visual style which balances along the line of modern and classy. I played around with colour a lot, and settled for a blue and purple colour scheme as they are gender neutral and not overwhelming when used consistently. Designing the infographics was also a challenge in itself; I had to find a way to convey the information in a clear way. This project helped me develop my own visual style, as well as learning the importance of file organisation with paragraph and character styles.
