ABOUT

The brief of this project was to create a web app surrounding health which would work both on a mobile and desktop. I chose the topic of general stress, and tried to find a solution by creating a ‘reflection’ web app; users fill out daily questions and advice is given dependent on their answers. Users can also view past answers. This was a chance for me to hone in on my skills in UX and UI design, creating a cohesive design.

I created ‘Reflect, a web app designed to help people reflect on their day, identifying potential triggers which may cause them daily stress and anxiety. This was inspired by my old housemate who is a student midwife; she sometimes sees traumatic things when on placement, and those working in the NHS often have only a few hours to wind down and do it all over again the next day. I tried to keep the colour scheme calming using blues and purples, as well as simple, easy-to-use UI as this web app is only designed to be used for maybe 10 minutes a day. The features include daily questions which are recorded in a diary, which can be accessed through a calendar. Advice is also given depending on the answers the user inputs.
