The brief of this university project design and make an independent magazine focusing on a specific area of visual culture. I chose to create ‘Dollyshot’, which stemmed from my love for film, TV and social commentary. It is a magazine which combines the three, with each edition focusing on a different social issue.

I knew I wanted to create something a bit 'out of the box', and show some 'organised chaos.' I was already quite skilled with typography so this was a fun challenge; one thing I spent time on was making sure the text was legible despite me distorting it. This edition focuses on class and wealth, with the entire magazine being in grayscale and green. I really wanted to go ‘all out’ with this magazine, experimenting with type and telling an article’s narrative through this. I used Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop for this project.

As well as the magazine itself, I also created a pitch to go alongside this, showing what future editions of the magazine may look like as well as a concept for an online version/shop (which I created in Adobe XD)
